All structural steel sections and welded
plate members are designed in accordance with the applicable sections
of the latest edition of the American Institute of Steel Construction
(AISC) "Specification for the Design, Fabrication and Erection
of the Structural Steel for Buildings."
- Dead Load- The weight of the
building system materials
- Collateral Loads- The weight
of additional permanent materials, such as sprinklers, mechanical
and/or electrical systems, and ceilings
- Roof Live Loads- Loads produced
by maintenance workers, equipment, materials, and by other moveable
objects
- Roof Snow Loads- The vertical
load produced by the weight of snow
- Wind Loads- The load caused
by wind blowing from any horizontal direction
- Seismic Loads- The lateral load
caused by an earthquake acting on the structure in any horizontal
direction
- Auxiliary Loads- Dynamic live
loads produced by such things as cranes and other material handling
equipment
- Floor Live Loads- The loads
on a floor system from the use and occupancy of the building
